{"id":3212,"date":"2018-08-24T07:52:36","date_gmt":"2018-08-24T07:52:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deptford.tv\/?p=2011"},"modified":"2018-08-24T07:52:36","modified_gmt":"2018-08-24T07:52:36","slug":"cabinet-of-futures-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dorothea.tv\/?p=3212","title":{"rendered":"Cabinet of Futures"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We took our students to see the Cabinet of Futures exhibition and to take part in a workshop organised by our friends the Time&#8217;s Up collective. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/times_up\/sets\/72157703528463844\/\">Photos<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Austrian art and culture group Time\u2019s Up engages the public in playful experiences designed to explore alternative,<a href=\"http:\/\/www.timesup.org\/cabinetfutures\"> preferable futures<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2012\" src=\"https:\/\/dorothea.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/CoF_\u00a9TimesUp_FlorianVoggeneder-1400x933-1-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"591\" height=\"354\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Over the course of their stay on the Maltese Islands, this radical team have brought internationally renowned futurists, local experts and everyday citizens together through communal workshops; during these creative meetings, participants have shared imaginative scenarios, dreams and concerns that explore diverse visions of the local future.The year 2018 sees people\u2019s ideas come to life through the resulting site-specific exhibition, <a href=\"https:\/\/timesup.org\/CoF-exhibition\">Cabinet of Futures<\/a>. This immersive, walk-through exhibition creates a \u2018proto-scientific\u2019 laboratory atmosphere, inviting local individuals and communities to add their own touch to the scenario.
